Tonweya Tokaheya (Dakota Goodhouse) in the wet plate collodion process. These are the first plates of a series I am working on for the State Historical Society of North Dakota. Our goal is to capture important Native American tribal members and elders from around the state. One plate from each sitting will go into their permanent archive. Dakota and I have decided that the 8x10" black glass ambrotype of him with the buffalo hide will be donated to the state in his honor.
I cannot explain how honored I am to be a part of such a very important endeavor.
5x7 and 8x10 clear and black glass ambrotypes, Carl Zeiss Tessar 300mm and 360mm lenses, 10 second exposures in Archer's process.
