"Departure on the Plains" is an idea that I have had for a while of a damsel laying in the tall grass on the plains. This was shot at Fort Abraham Lincoln, near Mandan, North Dakota. Elizabeth Schuh agreed to be my muse. I was on hand to see the hanging of one of my original glass ambrotypes on the wall of Custer House. It will hang there forever amongst the history of that place.
