On October 4th, 2012 I made my very first wet plate.  I have known for some time that my 1000th wet plate was approaching, a milestone in my mind. I knew that I wanted to try and do something special. It just turned out that my good friend and one of the largest supporters of my studio Mike LaLonde was on hand at BAGA during my demonstration. I knew immediately that his portrait would be perfect to commemorate the special occasion. Mike has done so many things for me on this journey, there are too plentiful to mention. He has been a photographer for decades and his Father was a photographer for decades before him. Wet plate has brought us together and his continued support is such a blessing. I adore this man and everything that he stands for not only in photography, but life. So this plate is for you Mike, with any luck there will be thousands more.
