Julia Margaret Cameron Honored with Wet Plate of The Kiss of Peace, May 27th, 2015

"The Kiss of Peace" by Julia Margaret Cameron was taken in 1869, ten years before her death.  I have always found her images to be moving and graceful. In my own way of paying respect and honor to her work, I attempted my own images inspired by her formidable photograph.

The Bank of North Dakota Captured in Wet Plate for the State Archive, May 20th, 2015

I am very honored to have captured the Bank of North Dakota for the State Historical Society of North Dakota in wet plate.  It is important that we remember that in present day we are making history and that 150 years from now this image may be historically significant.  One plate is going to the State Archives and I am donating another glass plate to the citizens of North Dakota to be displayed at the bank.

I had the wonderful pleasure of spending some personal time with my wife Bonnie in my studio.  She is the Mother of our four children and my best friend.  I am very lucky to have her.

The Quite Delightful Project in the United Kingdom, run by women, for women have featured Bonnie's plate,

I had the huge pleasure of capturing Brittney Olsen and her 1923 Harley Davidson "J" Model dirt track bike in the wet plate collodion process.  She has wanted to accomplish this for years and today was the day.  We he a common friend in Paul d'Orleans from The Vintagent, he is the man who is responsible for introducing me to the collodion process in the first place.
